Black Oak Ranch offers an intimate festival site in a majestic setting of oak woodlands, bay trees, expansive meadows, and year-round streams. The ranch is a perfect place for friends and family to gather, an ideal location to cultivate community. We cannot wait for you to join us and call this place HOME. The Ranch is also the home of the Hog Farm, one of the oldest, continuously running communes in the U.S. The Hog Farm has a long history of producing and participating in iconic music festivals and events, most notably the original Woodstock Music Festival in 1969. They ran the free kitchen, which fed hundreds of thousands, and were part of the security crew, aka the “please force.” In more recent years, the Hog Farm and friends have produced several epic events at Black Oak Ranch, including Electric on the Eel (1989-1991), The Hog Farm Pignic (1992-2001), Earthdance (1999-2010), The Kate Wolf Festival (2001-2022), Gaia Festival (2011 & 2012), and Enchanted Forest Gathering (2016 – 2018).
